Current Information

In August 2022, the Mayor and Town Council held a special session to discuss the desired scope of work for a possible renovation of Town Hall.  The agenda packet for the meeting included copies of past presentations by Councilmember Stephen Paczkowski, responses to a 2018 community survey, information from a 2015 building assessment report, and a history of Town Hall revenues.

The decisions made at the August 2022 meeting provided the foundation for the preparation of a Request for Proposals for architectural services. The scope of work outlined in the Request for Proposals included a building assessment and conceptual design services depicting possible renovation options. The Town Council subsequently awarded a contract to Wiedemann Architects LLC.

The table below contains a schedule of review and public input as the Mayor and Town Council consider the conceptual designs.

Monday, September 11, 2023 Representatives from Wiedemann Architects present their report to the Mayor and Town Council and answer Council questions. The report will include three conceptual designs and the estimated costs of each.

No later than Tuesday, September 19, 2023 Student volunteers distribute fliers door-to-door asking residents to submit online feedback using the provided QR Code
Tuesday, September 26, 2023 Deadline for residents to submit comments
Monday, October 9, 2023  Council identifies which aspects of the design need more discussion and makes plan for addressing them before voting in November
Monday, November 13, 2023  Council votes on design and notes to send to Wiedemann for a final concept
(date tbd)  Deadline for Wiedemann to submit the final drawing
(date tbd)  Public hearing for residents to see the final design before Council votes to proceed
